Anushka Sharma: In Bollywood, if you’re doing good, you will get work

Anushka Sharma says that everyone has their own struggles and one should not be judgmental about it.

Bollywood Actress Anushka Sharma says in the industry, one gets work based on their performance and it does not matter if the artist is an outsider or an industry person.

The actress started her acting career with her debut Aditya Chopra’s “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” film in 2008 said she got a chance to make it big in the film industry without a Godfather

The actress said Yash Raj movies could have easily taken an industry kid on board but he has given a chance to many new comers.

“He has launched all the outsiders. Myself, Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra. All the Yash Raj talents are outsiders.”

The Actress says she realised that the film Band Baaja Baarat, which made the audience to take note of her performance. She said, “My life changed after Band Baaja Baaraat. People started taking me more seriously. Of course, I got recognition for my first movie, but not as much as I got after Band Baaja Baarat movie. So, with that experience, I realised one thing that if you are doing good work, people will want to work with you.”

The 28-year-old actress says an outsider like the actor Shah Rukh Khan became a superstar in Bollywood which was purely based on the merit of his work, which is why many people want to team up with him. “If you are not doing well, come what may, people won’t want to work with you. This is a business and everyone takes business (oriented) decisions. For instance, if you have an outsider, a big star like Shah Rukh Khan, why wouldn’t you want to work with him?”

The actress says over the past years what she has “experienced” in the film industry, she has learnt that each and every one has their own efforts and one should not be judgmental about it. “As I am evolving in the industry, I am learning to know that everyone’s struggles vary. I am becoming less judgemental day by day. I will not want to pass any judgemental on anyone else’s experiences because everyone have their own battles, about which I don’t know anything.”

Anushka Sharma currently gearing up for her upcoming production “Phillauri” and the film is scheduled to release on March 24.
