Google Play distribution data says that Android Nougat OS is currently running on 5 percent of the devices where there is high usage of the OS compared to the last month.
According to the latest information from Google Play distribution data, the Android 7.0 Nougat OS is being used by large number of users the operating system is currently running on 4.9 percent of the devices.
Based on the last month play distribution data the OS was active only on 2.8 percent of the devices and now there has been a terrific use of the operating system. It was only 0.7 percent in the month of January.
The data also depicts that the Android 7.1 have not experienced any change from the last month and it was currently running on 0.4 percent of the devices and even the sixth version of the Android OS, Marshmallow is also dropping slowly it is running in 31. 2 percent devices and there is a drop of 0.1 percent from the last month.
The most used version of Android is Lollipop with a total share of 32 percent of active Android devices. The data shows that Android 5.0 Lollipop is running on 9 percent of the devices while Android 5.1 Lollipop is currently running on 23 percent of active devices.
Android KitKat is currently running on 20 percent of the devices.
The old versions of Android Jelly Bean have a share of 10. 1 percent where there is a drop when compared with the last month and Android Ice Cream Sandwich and Android Gingerbread now stand at 0.9 percent each and these are expected to completely phase out from the data where previously the Android Froyo was gone.
